Dental Services for everyone

TKDental's offerings include, but are not limited to:

Teeth Whitening

Your smile is one of the most important aspects of your appearance. It's one of the first things someone notices during initial meetings. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful and can boost confidence and make a more memorable impression.

Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things you do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, soda, wed wine and smoking!

TK Dental is proud to offer our patients the latest and most advanced in office whitening system on the market: Zoom2!

Invisalign

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisable plastic that you simply wear over your teeth.

Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile that you've always wanted.

The best part about the whole process is that most people won't even know you're straightening your teeth.

Mercury Free Fillings

Amalgam fillings, also called silver fillings, by weight are about 50% mercury, joined with silver, copper and tin. Dentists have used amalgam to fill cavities since the 1800's. Today, millions of Americans receive mercury fillings each year.

However, amalgam use has begun to decline with many doctors, who are switching to Resin – Composite (white) fillings due to the potential harmful effects of mercury on the human body. From the use of amalgam fillings, mercury vapor is released by tooth brushing and chewing when your fillings or leaking or broken. In general, significant levels of mercury exposure can permanently damage the brain and kidneys.

Fetuses and children are especially sensitive to its harmful effects, and scientists have found that mercury levels in the blood, urine and body tissue rise contingent to the rise in the number of amalgan fillings.

So, please consider safe Resin – Composite fillings for yourself. They are more appealing since they blend with the natural coloring of teeth. In addition, composites require less removal of tooth structure since they bond to the tooth. Therefore, they restore most of the original strength of the tooth.

Cosmetic Veneers

Cosmetic veneers are a highly popular solution among dental patients because of their lifelike tooth appearance. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials (such as porcelain) designed to cover the front side of your teeth. When placed, you'll be pleased to see that veneers look exactly like your natural teeth and even resist staining.

Cosmetic Veneers can be used to solve:
- Dull colored, stained, or discolored teeth
- Unsightly gaps between teeth
- Chipped teeth
- Teeth that are too small or large in proportion to the rest of the mouth
- Crooked, misaligned, or overlapping teeth
- Worn teeth
- Fractured or cracked teeth
- Unattractive smiles
- Gummy smiles

Bridges & Dentures

A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support. The success of any bridge depends on its foundation of the other teeth, gums, or bone to which it is attached. Therefore, it's very important to keep your existing teeth, gums, and jaw healthy and strong.

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. TKDental offers both complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.

Dental implants are so natural-looking and feeling, you may forget you ever lost a tooth. Your confidence about your teeth affects how you feel about yourself, both personally and professionally. Perhaps you hide your smile because of spaces from missing teeth. Maybe your dentures don't feel secure. Perhaps you have difficulty chewing.

If you are missing one or more teeth and would like to smile, speak and eat again with comfort and confidence, there is good news! Dental implants are teeth that can look and feel just like your own! Under proper conditions, such as placement by a periodontist and diligent patient maintenance, implants can last a lifetime. Long-term studies continue to show improving success rates for implants.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment (also called a root canal) is performed when decay will likely damage or has already killed a tooth. The procedure involves removing the pulp from the center of the tooth and filling the pulp cavity to prevent the development of an infection that may spread to other teeth.

Root canal treatment can be used to resolve many different types of nerve-related tooth problems. For example, this same fix is used when a tooth's nerve tissue is acutely inflamed, dying or even dead.

Although each of these conditions seem to be different, what they all have in common is that they involve (or will involve) a situation where the tooth's nerve space contains contaminates that will ultimately leak out of the tooth's root tip and persistently irritate (inflame) the tissues that surround it.

The purpose of the cleaning aspect of root canal therapy is to remove as many of these irritants (or items that will degrade into irritants) as possible. These items include bacteria, nerve tissue, the organic debris left over from the breakdown of nerve tissue, and bacterial toxins.
